A National Geographic–style luxury small‑group itinerary (9 days, round‑trip from Reykjavík)
Day 1 – Reykjavík
Arrive in Iceland, transfer across moss‑covered lava
fields, and settle into the capital. In the evening, meet your expedition
leader and enjoy a welcome reception and dinner.
Day 2 – Reykjavík → Hella (South Coast)
Tour the Lava Centre with a volcanologist, walk behind
Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and hike on Sólheimajökull glacier.
Day 3 – Golden Circle Exploration
Marvel at Gullfoss, watch Strokkur geyser erupt, tour the
geothermal Friðheimar Greenhouse, and visit Þingvellir National Park, where
tectonic plates drift apart.
Day 4 – Hella → Húsafell
Head west through Borgarnes and journey Into the Glacier at
Langjökull. Tour Viðgelmir Lava Cave, and see Hraunfossar & Barnafoss
waterfalls.
Day 5 – Húsafell Canyon Baths
Soak in remote geothermal pools tucked into a volcanic
canyon—a Signature highlight.
Day 6 – Húsafell → North Iceland (Akureyri Region)
Visit Glaumbær Turf Museum and the Akureyri Botanical
Garden before arriving in Iceland’s northern capital.
Day 7 – Húsavík & Arctic Marine Research
