Day 1 - Welcome to Reykjavik, Iceland
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted by private car to your choice of hotel in the heart of the capital. Whether you choose a first class, superior first class or deluxe hotel, all of our accommodations offer terrific city-center locations to make the most of your stay in Reykjavik.
Day 2 - Discover Reykjavik
Reykjavik is the world’s most northerly capital and although it’s home to more than a third of Iceland’s population, it’s quite small relative to other capital cities around the world. This morning, accompanied by your own personal native-born guide, you’ll discover the highlights of this friendly and cosmopolitan city – from its spectacular coastline and the colorful harbor district to the vibrant university area and the Old Quarter with its traditional wooden homes. Among the landmarks you’ll see are the Reykjavik Cathedral, the futuristic Pearl, and Hallgrímskirkja Church – designed in the 1930’s with an iconic tower inspired by the island’s geological formations. Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy and explore at your own pace. You might wish to visit the world-famous Blue Lagoon, set in a lava field not far from the capital. Marvel at its striking blue color and take some time to relax in its steaming, mineral-rich waters. Meals B
Day 3 - Another Day in Reykjavik
This entire day is free to do as you wish. If you prefer another guided activity, a variety of optional sightseeing tours are available including a full-day Golden Circle Tour featuring Thingvellir National Park, the impressive Gullfoss Waterfall, Strokkur Geyser, and the world’s oldest democratic Parliament founded more than 1,000 years ago on the shores of Lake Thingvallavatn. Day 4 - Depart Reykjavik
After breakfast, our private car and driver will escort you to the airport for your onward journey. Meals B
